The roles that once kept you safe, can become the very thing keeping you stuck

A Daughter’s Walk Home is a raw, intimate memoir about the ways we learn to survive in childhood and how those patterns follow us into adulthood, motherhood, relationships, and the lives we build.

When the roles that once kept Delainy safe start to feel impossible to continue carrying, she starts walking. One walk at a time, she begins tracing the beliefs formed in an unpredictable childhood and seeing how they have shaped the way she loves, parents, and moves through the world.

What she discovers is that coming home isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about separating who you are from who you learned to be and waking up to what has been within you all along.

A Daughter’s Walk Home was written in hopes that somewhere inside Delainy’s story, readers might recognize parts of their own feelings, patterns, and pieces of themselves they may have always sensed but never had words for.

MEET THE AUTHOR:

DELAINY

Delainy Miller is a storyteller, coach, wife, and mother of three daughters. After more than seven years of helping women create healthier, more intentional lives, her work now centers around the questions she can't stop asking: Who are we beneath everything we’ve learned to be? What makes us feel most alive? And what becomes possible when we trust ourselves enough to follow it?

Her work explores identity, motherhood, family systems, desire, self-trust, and the ways we learn to become more fully ourselves. Through writing, speaking, and conversation, Delainy is interested in the stories and beliefs that shape who we become and what happens when we begin questioning which of them are actually ours.

She believes one of the greatest gifts we can give the people we love is the courage to become fully ourselves.
